Days 7-12 have a flexible schedule, for the reason of weather dependency. If the weather permits the trip to Antarctica will have priority.
DAY 1 :
You will be transferred to the airport and enter the airplane early in the morning. You will fly over the straits of Magellan, the Sea of the Drake and after 3,5 h land on King George Island of the breathtaking continent Antarctica. After the arrival, also will visiting the establishments of Villa Las Estrellas (Las Estrellas Village), first site to be inhabited by civilians, as well as the meteorological center.
You will have lunch and a snack depending of the time of arrival.
We will see wild fauna, glaciers and other attractions offered by this place. Walking to the Chinesse Station you will see baleen whales, Orcas or Killer Whales, Sea Lions, Weddel Seals, Antarctica Seals and Penguins, that compose the fauna, which feeds on the Antarctica's rich waters. The famous Adelie penguins are the main species, but you will also see the Papua Penguins, Antarctica Penguins and many other kinds at. Of all these species the most feasible to see in our visit are the different varieties of Penguins, Sea Lions and the Weddell Seals.
You will spend the night at Antarctica in heated and nicely set up tents.
DAY 2 :
On your second day at Antarctica, after waking up and having forgotten where you actually are, you will visit different Antarctic Research Stations, where you have the chance to talk to the investigators, that live there permanently. You will be celebrating your trip with them and be accepted as new members of the ROSA society. Afterwards you can do what ever activity pleases you.until the evening where will be taken back to Punta Arenas to the beautiful Jose Nogueira hotel
